Municipal Court Warrants in Wabash County
Wabash City Court hears city ordinance violations, misdemeanors, infractions, and traffic matters. A missed required appearance can produce a bench or failure-to-appear warrant event. The court controls reset, recall, appearance, and bond instructions. Wabash Police may execute a valid order, but police do not replace the court record.
Indiana uses “bench warrant” and “failure-to-appear warrant” for this process. “Capias pro fine” is not confirmed Wabash terminology. MyCase can retain a historical warrant entry after recall, so call City Court for present status.
Wabash Municipal Warrant Case Types
The key city labels are ordinance, misdemeanor, infraction, traffic, and FTA. They identify a case path but do not prove that a warrant is active. City Court uses Odyssey/MyCase code 85H01. Search by citation, case number, or party details, then call the court.
- Ordinance
- A city-law matter.
- Infraction
- A civil violation handled in court.
- FTA
- A failure to appear that may lead to a warrant.
- Recall
- Court action withdrawing a warrant.
No public city warrant roster was found.
Wabash City Court Warrant Cases
Wabash City Court is a separate lower-court route. Its jurisdiction includes city ordinance violations, misdemeanors, infractions, and traffic matters. Those labels identify the underlying case, but do not say whether an arrest order is active. A missed required appearance can add an FTA event, and the judge may issue a bench warrant.
- Ordinance
- A case based on city law.
- Infraction
- A civil violation processed in court.
- FTA
- A failure to appear after a required setting.
- Recall
- Court action withdrawing a warrant.
City Court uses Odyssey/MyCase code 85H01. Read the full chronology because a later recall, service return, payment, hearing, or disposition changes what an older entry means. No official city warrant roster was found.

Wabash Municipal Warrant MyCase Route
Indiana MyCase is the public starting point for a Wabash City Court case, not a complete warrant repository. Search by citation or uniform case number first. A party search can use last name, first or middle name, and date of birth. Select City Court or code 85H01 when available.
Save the case number, charge, missed hearing, warrant entry, later recall or service event, balance, and next setting. Call City Court at (260) 563-4946 to ask what the latest entry means. Status and date filters narrow cases but do not confirm a warrant.
Key point: No MyCase result does not prove there is no Wabash municipal warrant; restricted, older, or recent records may be absent.
How to Check a Municipal Court Warrant
Search MyCase by citation, case number, or party name and date of birth, with Wabash City Court code 85H01. Then call City Court at (260) 563-4946. A written court-record request is the fallback for a disclosable item not online. The Sheriff or city police addresses service questions, not recall.
- Search MyCase with the citation or case number.
- Try a party search with birth date and court filter.
- Call City Court for current warrant and hearing status.
- Request a missing public record from its custodian.
- Contact police or Sheriff only for their service role.
Wabash Municipal Warrant Custodians
Wabash Police and City Court keep different records. Police may serve a valid city warrant and holds police reports. City Court holds the case chronology and controls recall, reset, and appearance instructions. The police APRA form is a records request, not a warrant lookup.
The city facilities directory lists the offices separately. It gives weekday hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and shows City Court closed from noon to 1:00 p.m. The state directory places the court at 23 West Market Street. Call before walking in.
For service or surrender questions, call police at (260) 563-1112 or the Sheriff at (260) 563-8891 only after confirming the right route. Neither agency can promise a judicial recall.

Wabash Municipal Warrant Court Boundaries
Wabash County's five incorporated places are Wabash, North Manchester, La Fontaine, Roann, and Lagro. Population rank does not create a municipal court. The directory shows Wabash City Court, while North Manchester's court is abolished. No current court was found for the other towns.
The Census place table documents the municipal set.
The place table shows geography, not warrant jurisdiction.
The Roann contact page is a town-office source.
A Roann resident should use the citation, MyCase, and Clerk to identify the issuing court.
Resolving a Municipal Court Warrant
Call City Court before paying or walking in. Ask whether the judge requires a reset, recall motion, appearance, surrender, or bond. Use an online payment route only if the court confirms eligibility and explains whether payment affects the warrant.
- Save the case number, court code, and warrant event.
- Confirm active status and the allowed response.
- Ask counsel about recall, surrender, bond, or hearing.
- Complete the court-approved step and keep proof.
- Confirm recall and the next hearing.
Warning: Do not assume paying a Wabash city-case balance recalls its warrant; confirm the judge's action and next setting with City Court.
After a Wabash Municipal Warrant
Resolution has two parts: the warrant decision and the underlying city case. A recalled warrant can remain visible as history, and recall does not dismiss an ordinance, misdemeanor, infraction, or traffic matter. Ask for the next date and all release, filing, payment, or compliance steps.
The Clerk page links MyCase for traffic and criminal fees and GovPay for other eligible matters with a known case number. Those links are not universal warrant-release portals. Keep the receipt, but ask City Court whether the warrant was recalled and whether any qualifying compliance notice went to BMV.
If surrender is required, call the assigned agency first. Ask where and when to report, what identification is accepted, and whether counsel can coordinate. No city walk-in warrant window, fixed bond schedule, amnesty program, or public recall form was found.
After every step, compare the new court instruction with the public chronology. A recalled entry may stay visible as case history, so the newest order matters more than the old event alone. If the online screen and the clerk seem to conflict, ask for the official record or written order that controls. Keep the case number and confirm the next required appearance. A warrant can end while the city charge continues, and missing that later date can create another failure-to-appear issue.
Public access also has limits. Indiana MyCase contains public, non-confidential information from Odyssey courts, but not every older case or every document. Sealed, juvenile, expunged, and excluded records may be absent. Indiana Access to Court Records Rule 4 starts with public access, while Rule 5 lists exclusions. A police investigative record can follow the Indiana Access to Public Records Act and a different custodian. Send a court-document request to the court or Clerk and a police-record request to Wabash Police. If access is denied, ask for the rule, statute, or order that supports the decision.
Wabash Circuit and Superior Courts remain distinct from City Court. The Wabash County Clerk maintains the county trial-court records and can route a person who discovers that a supposed city warrant actually belongs to a county criminal or traffic file. The Sheriff's Department handles its law-enforcement role but does not publish an official searchable Wabash active-warrant roster. Indiana also has no single public statewide warrant search. That is why confirmation must end with the court that issued the order, even after a useful MyCase search or phone call to another office.
